Cleanliness has always been our highest priority and has become more important than ever. We follow enhanced cleaning protocol, developed with expert guidance.
We have contact free self-check in and out, using a coded key safe. Directions for use are sent to you prior to your arrival via email. We encourage guests to contact us via messaging services, or phone, whenever possible. However, we are always available to meet guests in person. We give our guests privacy unless they request otherwise.
We sanitise high-touch surfaces, and use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies. We wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
and provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay.
The Coach House accommodation is on one level throughout, there are two bedrooms each with an en-suite shower room. The bedrooms are far enough apart to offer privacy for two couples and close enough for families with younger children. There is off road parking immediately to the right of the property, providing easy level access. The property benefits from an enclosed and private garden area, with picnic bench, sun shade and rotary washing line. The property is equipped with a full kitchen/breakfast room. There is a comfortable living room with TV (and a selection of books, games and DVD's). Beach towels, a selection of children's beach toys, a cool bag and beach mat are available, for those wishing to spend days out and about. There is storage for additional equipment, such as bikes, canoes, surf boards etc, on site.
The Barn is compact and comfortable. It has a light and modern interior, decorated in cool sea greens, blues and greys that reflect the Cornish coastline, rivers and rugged clifftops. Enter through the double-glazed French doors, into a light and airy open plan lounge, kitchen, dining area. This area has a fully fitted kitchen with washer/dryer, kettle, toaster, microwave, oven with grill, fridge with freezer compartment, extractor fan and two ring ceramic hob. A dining table overlooks the garden. There is a small sofa and a TV, electric wall heater and storage cupboard. From this area there are doors to a compact double bedroom, and to the shower room. The bedroom comprises a traditional style double bed, open hanging & shelved storage space, electric wall heater, mirror and hairdryer. The modern fitted shower room is traditional in style, has plenty of storage, a full-length mirror, heated towel rail and wall mounted fan heater. Towels and bed linen are provided. The Barn benefits from off road parking.
The converted Stable is a self-contained studio style property. It is quirky, cute and compact, offering comfortable accommodation for one or two guests. The stable door opens into an entrance area, which leads through to the kitchen, dining and sleeping area. In addition, there is a separate well-appointed shower room.
The zip link bed offers the choice of either two single beds, OR a super king bed. (Photos show both options and guests will be asked for their preference before arrival, if no preference is indicated a super king bed will be provided). The small enclosed outdoor seating area provides privacy to the front of the property and the opportunity to eat al fresco and relax after a busy day. There is also off-road parking.
The quaint Cornish village of Mawnan Smith is situated close to the beautiful sailing waters of the Helford River, and historical maritime town of Falmouth. The cottages are a short stroll from all village amenities, including the handsome thatched Red Lion pub, Awna café, Oyster Catcher gifts and general store. There is a bus route to Falmouth.
The cottages are within an easy walking distance of two world class gardens, Glendurgan and Trebah. Mawnan Smith is around an hour's drive from all of Cornwall's attractions., including Heligan and Trelissick gardens and the Eden Project.
The cottages offer ease of access to the beautiful South West Coast path. Spend your days exploring quiet secret coves along the Helford River and Fal estuary and marvelling at the rugged cliffs of the north coast. Enjoy the wonderous views, drink in the sea air and experience nature at its very best.

Start your day with a hearty Cornish breakfast at Gylly Beach Café. Take a foot ferry from Falmouth town, or The King Harry car ferry to St Mawes. Explore the golden sands and rock pools and take a bracing swim in the sea, before sampling Cornwall's finest pasties. Or, travel west and visit St Michael's Mount, Land's End, The Minack Theatre and Sennen Beach. Take a glorious short coastal train ride from St Erth to St Ives town, to visit the Barbara Hepworth museum of art & sculpture and the Tate Gallery. On your way back, eat and shop at Trevaskis Farm in Connor Downs. Travel east and enjoy the wonders of The Eden Project, cycle the Camel Trail and enjoy freshly cooked seafood at Rick Stein's in Padstow.
